  • Playlist placements and chart positions
  • Genre classifications and artist metadata

How We Use Your Data

All data collected is used exclusively for:

  • Calculating accurate and fair artist scores

  • Generating trend reports and growth metrics

API Usage & Rate Limiting

To ensure fair access and prevent abuse, we implement rate limiting:

  • Score calculations: 5 requests per hour per IP address
  • Spotify API calls: 10 requests per minute per IP address
  • All requests include rate limit headers for transparency
  • Exceeded limits return clear error messages with retry times

Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services:

  • Spotify API: For streaming and artist data
  • YouTube API: For video metrics and subscriber counts
  • Upstash Redis: For rate limiting and caching
  • Vercel: For hosting and deployment
  • Vercel Postgres: For secure database storage

Each service is carefully vetted for security and privacy compliance.
